My lips are always so chapped in the winter that I usually don't bother with wearing lipstick, let alone liquid lipsticks. It's the weather here in Montreal: too cold, and too windy. That, coupled with the fact that I'm a lip picker. Yup, I pick at my chapped lips and they end up bleeding and being a sore mess. Yuck. But I've been quite good about my lips this winter and these products have been helping!
First, I start with the ELF Lip Exfoliator. It's packaged like a lipstick, which I find really nice and easy to use. To use the exfoliator, you have to wet your lips first with water, and then go over the lips in a circular motion. I taste a bit of sweetness from the brown sugar which is nice, and also feel a little bit of balmy-ness from the stick. Lo and behold, I see so much dead skin being sloughed off. Is that too gross to talk about? I don't know. But this is the first winter I ever got and used a lip exfoliator, and I'm really happy with how well it's working.
Next, I go in with my Pacifica Color Quench Lip Tint. This range of balms from Pacifica is cruelty-free and natural, and they come in different colour tints. I opted for the clear balm which smells like coconut-cherry. So good. I'm really picky with the lip balms I use, in terms of texture, smell, and taste, but this one ticks all the right boxes and makes my lips feel juicy.
I ordered both of these products from Well.ca which is honestly one of the best websites to shop from if you live in Canada. I don't know where else I could buy Pacifica or ELF here in Quebec!
