Hi guys! And happy new year! I've done some shopping this week and thought I'd share it with you all.
Bralettes from Aerie
If there's one thing I realized in 2016, it's that I hate wearing normal bras. Especially with extra padding. So uncomfortable! I only had about 3 soft bras, or bralettes, that I'd been wearing on rotation for months now, and decided to just go all the way and buy a bunch more. By the way I'm going to throw out all my old structured/padded bras. Hate hate hate them. I actually threw out two yesterday and gave them the finger while they were in the bin. Hah. Anyway Aerie was having some good boxing day deals, where all their bralettes were 60% off so that's where I stocked up.
Frankly, I'm surprised by Sephora. They used to never have good sales or offers for Boxing Day. I have two cleansers running really low right now, so I decided it was time to get something new. The Philosophy cleanser Purity Made Simple was one of the boxing day offers for $15 CAD which is such a good deal, considering you get 12 fl. oz. of product! The 8 oz sold alone is $32 CAD. I've only tried this product from two samples I received in the summer and quite liked it. I'll put up a review once I've used it enough.
The other thing I got from Sephora is the Ole Henriksen set which has the Sheer Transformation cream, and the Clean Truth Cleansing loths. This was also $15 CAD. I don't really use cleansing cloths but it could be handy for travel. What I really got this for is the Sheer Transformation cream. I had a little deluxe sample size of this and really liked how it felt and worked, so I decided to get the bigger version! Again this is such a good deal considering it usually sells for $1/ml.
Remember that post I made earlier this year, "5 Makeup Brands I want to Try"? One of the brands on the list was MAC. I'd never bought anything from MAC before- until this week. For my first ever MAC purchase, I got the paint pot in Stormy Pink, a light grey-ish purpley pink. Such a "me" colour. I'm really happy with the texture of the paint pot. It's creamy and gives you time to work onto the lid before setting down and not budging. I think it would be really pretty on its own or as a base under eyeshadows (like my Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye Palette I got for Christmas! More on that on another post though!)
