Spring Cheeks

Hello blogosphere, it's been a while. Although I've been quite inactive here, I've been posting regularly over on instagram @samanthaseries.

Here are some of the products I'm putting on my cheeks this Spring. It's all about pastels and glowyness.

Clinique Cheek Pop in "Pansy Pop"
This is a lovely lilac colour - which, in my opinion, is the characteristic colour of spring. On the cheeks, it appears as a fresh, cool toned pink. The formula is thin and silky, and adds a fresh glow to the cheeks. I couldn't resist picking this up at Sephora because y'all know I love purple makeup...

Benefit Dandelion blush
I got this blush recently in the smaller travel-box version, because who finishes full-size blushes all that often? It's a soft, petal-pink with just a hint of golden shimmer. Since the formula is so soft and light, it can be used all over the face as a sort of illuminating powder - but it is also buildable for the cheeks.

Tarte Cheek Stain in "Dazed"
A.k.a the easiest way to get dewy and glowy cheeks with no shimmer. I usually do not like cream blushers, but the formula for this one is very thin, non greasy and easy to blend. I apply this straight to my face over BB cream, and then pat it in with my fingertips. Also- it smells like fruit loops! So strange, but I'm not complaining.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
This is a good 'un for all the seasons, but this Spring I'm loving using the shade on the right called "Radiant" which is great as a shimmery bronzer on my still-pale winter skin. I have also been using the middle shade "Incandescent" as a subtle highlighter over blush.
