Hi everyone! It's been a HOT MINUTE.
I started 2018 with every intention to be consistent with my blog, but a few things came up. The first thing is that I landed a full time job at a fine jewellery company and it's been challenging, to say the least. I've also started taking dance classes learning K-Pop choreography, doing some photography on the side for bloggers, weddings and such. The other big thing is that my boyfriend has recently moved away to British Columbia - literally on the other side of the country. So in the months leading up to his departure, I've been trying to spend as much time with him as possible. We're doing long distance and I'm thinking of writing a blog post about that in several months' time. In fact, I will be going more in depth about all these topics in the future - but for today, I thought that for my blog comeback, I'll ease in with a good old favourites post.
I'm all about an easy base and peachy eyes. Korean bb creams are always the best, and the one I'm currently using is the Missha Porefection BB Cream. It's quite a thick formula and not that moisturizing, which is good for the summer time when my skin doesn't need any extra slip. The BB Cream has SPF 30 PA++.
For eyes, I'm enjoying the Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes palette. It is really a perfect selection of peachy tones, all very wearable and effortless. For some shimmer, I'm loving the L'Oreal Infallible single eyeshadow in 021 Sahara Treasure. It's a stunning neutral gold shadow, multidimensional and works perfectly as a one-wash-wonder. I often put Sahara Treasure all over the lid, and then run a couple of colours from the Just Peachy Mattes palette either through the crease or all over the lid on top of the shimmer. Something about Sahara Treasure amps up every eye look without looking overdone - that shadow is really perfection!
My love for IT Cosmetics continues. Their Superhero mascara is really, really good. There is nothing interesting about the shape of the wand, it looks like a normal bristle wand - but the formula adds a lot of volume. This is definitely one of my favourite mascaras!
And last but not least, another K-beauty favourite: Peripera Airy Ink Velvet in #08 Glimpse Brick Brown. This formula is basically a lip stain but in a velvety texture. It's thin, pigmented, and long lasting. The shade #08 is a muted and wearable everyday red that goes perfectly with the peachy eyeshadows I've been into. This is my VIBE.
I'll be blogging more (can't guarantee a schedule) but if you would like to see more of me, you can follow me on Insta. I pretty much post selfies, food, gym stuff, and jewellery stuff. Wishing you all a wonderful week!
