As you know, I am a big fan of It Cosmetics and their CC Cream (I included it in my Beauty Faves 2017). So I was excited to see that they have another CC product in a cushion format!
The word "veil" in the name is accurate; this is a very thin, serum-y layer that provides light coverage, buildable to medium (ish) coverage. It definitely evens out any discolouration on the skin in a natural looking way. It's perfect to slap on in a hurry, or if you are really low maintenance when it comes to your makeup routine.
The formula contains SPF 50+ physical sunscreen and peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins A, B, C & E, and hydrolyzed collagen. The finish is dewy, healthy, and smoothing, and it feels very light and comfortable on the skin.
IT Cosmetics tend to run slightly dark with their shades. I am usually "Light" in most base products I use, but I found the "Light" shade for this product to be a bit dark and even a bit orange. It's easier for me to pull off this sort of shade in the summer.
The cushion, when you initially buy it, is $49 CAD. The refill costs $39 CAD. Which is expensive for only 10ml of product! It will run out quickly if this is your every day base. I tend to use it occasionally and carry it in my gym bag, so it's lasted me well that way - but I am disappointed with how expensive the product is for how long it lasts & only 10 ml.
For application, I like to use the little puff it comes with as it's easier to dig into the cushion for product. The puff gets a bit gross and grimy, hence why I didn't photograph it. I've bought some new puffs from an Asian website, but I wish It Cosmetics provided a new pad along with the refill, like many Asian cushion products do.
I would definitely recommend the classic It Cosmetics CC Cream over this product as it is a better value and provides better coverage. This CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation is all right, but not that special. And in the world of cushion products, there are many that are much better than this. In fact, I am hoping to try some Asian cushion products this year. I still love It Cosmetics and they are still one of my favourite brands!
