Five favourites that I've been using since the beginning of May! I love all of these. I'm hoping to do this chatty sort of post now and then to share some beauty, skincare, food, and other random favourites. And I would love to talk more about food on my blog - so I'm starting today!
I really like matcha, so I picked up these Koukla Delights snacks that I found on Well.ca. They are very dense snacks made with matcha, dried coconut and a bit of maple to sweeten it. One of the packs I got has Cacao Nibs, which gives a bit more of a nutty crunch and a bit more bitterness. They were good, however, I found the Cacao kept getting stuck in my teeth. The plain Matcha Coco ones are really good, though. I like to put a couple in a ziploc and put it in my bags to munch on when I'm feeling a bit peckish while out and about. I especially like to keep these in my gym bag! These are a great, healthy snack after a workout to stave me over until I get home. Funny story: I had eaten these and had the empty ziploc in my bag that I was saving to reuse, but I was going to an event where they checked bags at security. My friend made me throw out the ziploc because she said the green crumbs could be mistaken for a certain drug! Haha.
For makeup, I've been loving two items lately. The MAC Samantha Ravndahl lippy has become a go-to favourite. It is a light pink, and I like to pat it into my lips, because applying it full on makes it look too pale for me now that I'm a bit more tan. Another beauty item I've been loving is the Splurge Cream Shadow from Younique in "Victorious". The cream shadow is such a perfect beige eyeshadow base. It is creamy, long wearing, and really evens out the eyelid. My friend Bianca sells Younique makeup and she is the only one I will ever buy Younique from!
I simply love face mists, and the one I've been reaching for all month is the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist from L'Occitane. It has a light floral scent, and it sets the makeup nicely. Not much more to it! It's more of a hydrating mist rather than one of those watery mists.
Lastly, I've been loving the Koelf Hydrogel Eye Patches. You can read my full review on them here. I use them morning, night, or whenever my eyes need a little pick me up (which is most of the time lol).
On another note, I apologize for the lack of posts lately. Consistency is not my forte. I've had a bout of writer's block, which I might talk about some other time. But since it's been a while, I do feel sort of awkward writing a post. Like how do I write again???
Some other life updates that might explain my absence - I got another job, and I'm also working on an exciting new side project that I'm hoping to let you guys know about soon. I'm glad to be back on the blogosphere, but if you want to see more from me, I'm usually over on Instagram, posting stories and stuff!
