The colour pink is freakin' everywhere this Spring. And I'm ok with it. I absolutely love a nice, pink lipstick, and I've got some good ones below.
Eyes
For eyes, I like the Colourpop Supershock Shadow in "Wattles". It's a subtle, dusty pink in a slightly shimmery finish. It almost looks like a subtle rose gold shadow. I love this because it's neutral but still gives a little something-something, so it's perfect for day wear. I also love how easy it is to use, since you just apply with your finger.
Cheeks
For cheeks, I'm loving two blushes for the Spring time. I got the Too Faced Love Flush Blush in "Justify My Love", a cool, medium pink. I was sold on the cute heart-shaped packaging and the 16-hour-wear claims. It gives a nice fresh flush to the cheeks and although it looks like there might be slight sheen in the pan, it looks natural on the cheeks. Unfortunately, it doesn't live up to its 16hr claim, but it does last well enough.
The second blush I'm reaching for is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in "Ethereal Glow". I love Hourglass products, and their blushes give such a fresh, gorgeous, subtle sheen. This is best suited to those with lighter complexions, because since it is so light, I don't think it would show up on darker skin. This is very light!
Lips
I'm having a bit of a moment with lip products. Generally, I don't wear lipstick in the winter months because my lips are very chapped, so Spring is when I embrace the lippies.
Rimmel's Lasting Finish Colour Rush Balm in "Give Me a Cuddle" is one of my favourite drugstore lip products. It's the perfect bright, but wearable pink, that leaves your lips looking juicy when freshly applied, and wears down to a stain.
Buxom's Plumpline Lip Liner in "Ransom" - it's quite a light peachy pink. It has a matte finish, and you can use it to line your lips or completely fill them in since the nib is larger than the standard lip liner. I sometimes like to use it on its own, but recently, I've been using it along with the MAC lipstick collab with Samantha Ravndahl. I believe this lipstick is only available to Canadians. The shade is a balmy, slightly sheer, light pink-nude. Since the Buxom lipliner is matte, this pairs quite nicely with it to give the sheer, Samantha Ravndahl lipstick some definition. Even on its own, it is SO pretty!
