Instant Skincare Fave: Witch Hazel Toner

My skincare routine is really simple. Every day I cleanse and moisturize, and every second day or so, I use a face mask. However, it felt as though something was missing, and that was a good toner. I'd tried some toners before, but never really cared for them. They became forgotten products that eventually stayed in the back of the cupboard. However, I spotted this Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner on sale on and decided to give it a go.

Besides the great reviews, I was attracted to the packaging and the fact that it is natural. I use it with a cotton round every morning and night. The toner has a lovely, inoffensive light rose scent. Thayers actually do this toner in a range of different scents, such as cucumber and lavender, or unscented if that's what you prefer.

It feels refreshing and moisturizing due to its aloe vera formula and it removes every last bit of makeup on my face. I love looking at the cotton round after each use and seeing whatever leftover makeup was on my skin that my cleanser didn't get. It also feels very gentle, unlike many toners I've used before that felt like they were stripping my skin (this one is alcohol-free, so that helps!).

A couple of weeks ago, I did a post on My DIY Facial Mist. In the post, I wrote that I used rosewater in my solution, but now, I've started to use this rose-scented toner instead. It's great to spray just before applying sunscreen and makeup, or simply to freshen up throughout the day.
