Drugstore Haul

This is the 2nd (and last) part of my makeup hauls this week... If you missed my Sephora haul that I posted a few days ago, click here.

Rimmel is a brand I've never really tried before. When it comes to the drugstore, I usually only buy makeup from L'Oréal and Maybelline (which are pretty much the same company). However, Rimmel caught my eye because the Scandaleyes eyeliners were on special for a pretty good deal. I think they were about 4 dollars each. Bargain. I bought the purple one and the taupe one. The taupe one is a bit creamier than the purple one, but both are quite good and very long lasting.

Over the past few months, I've heard a lot of hype around the L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. I thought, meh, nah, I have dry skin so it'll look bad on me. In fact, I'd never tried a matte foundation before. Anyway, KathleenLights recommended it in a video, and since she has dry skin I thought it just may work. I picked it up on sale and I have to say, I really like it! It really does last all day. I apply it with a beauty blender over a generous layer of moisturizer. For some reason, the shade is slightly dark on me... and I took the second to lightest shade. Once this runs out I may need to get the shade "Ivory" which is insane! That's the thing with drugstore foundations, you never really know with the shade... I find a lot of the shades run quite dark.

Finally, I got the Real Techniques powder brush. It is so fluffy and soft. I'm trying to build up my brush collection, which is kind of an expensive task. For now I'm sticking to Real Techniques and ELF brushes, which are quality brushes that don't cost an arm and a leg.

If you guys have any recommendations for not-too-expensive brushes that are good quality, please let me know in the comments! <3
