Technically a favourites post. These past few months, since around December, I've barely bought any new beauty products... I think it has to do with the fact that I no longer have classes downtown and so I'm not always tempted after class to go shopping. Here are the few things I've discovered and really liked this past winter.
Real Techniques Sponge - A game changer. This makes applying my base in the morning so quick and easy. I use the flat side to apply foundation and the pointier side to apply concealer underneath my eyes. Before using it, I soak it in water then squeeze it, just so it's a bit damp. I love how this allows me to put a thin layer of product really evenly, and how it makes the skin looks so natural after.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - An effective spot treatment. Last week I had a stress pimple appear near my lip (ew, right) so I put this on it two nights in a row and it got rid of it! It stung like a mofo but at least it got the job done. It also comes in quite a big tube, and considering you only need a little dot for each use, this should last a long time.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette - I got this on xmas from the bf. It's so pretty with the packaging that I just like to stare at it sometimes. I have no method to my application of this, I kind of take all the colours and put it all over my face. And it looks good... nice and glowy (not like a discoball though). Sometimes I'll take an angled blush brush and put the darker colour on my cheeks like blush/bronzer and that also looks so nice. Love this <3
Body Shop Honey & Oat Face Mask - One of my new year resolutions was to actually use face masks. This one from the Body Shop comes in a little pot and is lasting quite a while (I got mine around xmas). It leaves my skin feeling soft, soothed and moisturized. Plus it smells really nice!
